The Studio and the Pond

This is my studio.
My husband built it and thought he would keep
his nails and hammers and other assorted tools in it.
One day when I was rummaging around in his shed
I heard the wind blowing through the trees -
the blue jays were squawking at the nutty squirrels -
the sunlight was streaming through the windows.
It felt really good to be in my husband’s shed.
In fact, it felt so good that I decided it should be mine, not his.
Fortunately, there are 3 compartments to the shed
(which we will now refer to as the studio).
I moved all of his things into a compartment on the other side,
and moved all of my things
(which have been on the dining room table for way too long)
into my new studio.
It’s great out here!

This is the glass pond that is outside the studio door.
Right now the baby fish are bobbing up to the surface to find food.
They were hatched before the raccoons scooped up all the adults and had
a late night snack.
