The fairy dance collection began after the first warm spring rain. The
Zildan tree fairies were sleeping on the soft new leaves. They wore long
flowing dresses and beautifully crafted necklaces. Andonia, also known
as the mother fairy, let me look at the tiny crafted necklaces and then
allowed me to make my own. So I have created these designs, with the
help of Andonia, for grown up fairies like you and me. Each necklace
comes with a tiny Zildan tree fairy hidden amongst the jewels.

Marla's Fruit Basket

|
Malia is a green eyed fairy who takes care of
high tea deep inside the Zildan Tree. She loves to serve fruit
baskets to all of the fairies along with their favorite
beverage, oolong tea. All of the fairies arrive in long white
dresses which flow gently with the breeze, they take their place
on one of the Zildan leaves and drink the tea that Malia serves.
Then Malia serves fruit in the tiny bamboo baskets she weaves. I
have actually seen them during tea and their white gowns look
like the white blossoms of an apple tree. So next time your
apple tree blooms, look very closely, those may not be blooms
after all. Malia's Fruit Basket is made from Chinese green
turquoise, amethyst, carnelian, orange sea coral and many
sparkling silver wire wraps. This is a beautiful Karen Hill
flower pendant. It measures 2 1/2 inches. The necklace is 19"
long. Lush and full of color, it closes with a Karen Hill clasp.
Of course, there is a tiny fairy hidden on the necklace. |

The Mermaid Fairy

|
The mermaid fairy lives, of course, beneath the
sea. These are her colors and the last time she visited the
Zildan Tree (which is where most of the earth fairies live), she
wore this necklace, The Zildan Tree Godfairy attempted to steal
it from her while she slept, but the fairy mermaid awoke and
flew to safety. All of the fairies were able to remember these
colors and when I met last with several of them, they helped me
with this necklace.
The necklace is 20" long and is a triple strand of aquamarine
and silver Balinese rounds. It closes with my handmade s-hook
and a chip dangle. |

Midnight at the Oasis

|
Sodalite is a favorite fairy stone. It’s
beautiful blue and white striations make it very desirable.
Fairies wear this stone at midnight when they fly to the cool
watering ponds to bathe. Wire worked silver sodalite drops make
this a beautiful fairy necklace. It is 24” long and closes with
a bali toggle. |

Petals in the Mist

|
I fashioned this necklace while sitting under
the Zildan tree. The lime green petals kept the early morning
mist from falling on me. Tiny chrysophase spacers set the tone
for the pretty lime and yellow glow of this necklace. The
rhodonite pendant is 1 ˝ inches long and large bali beads help
brighten this misty colored necklace
It is 22” long and finished with a bali toggle. |

Princess Rose

|
This is the fairy Rose’s necklace. 5 crackled
ceramic beads are separated by Karen hill tribe snail shells.
The colorful chips are all from a variety of stones and are
blended with Balinese silver beads. The clasp is my own design,
a hill tribe snail shell S hook and a chip drop dangle. It isn’t
seen inn the photo but it is really a fun hook
Princess Rose is 21” long. |

Sky Fairy

|
This is a pretty true blue sky Brazilian
Amazonite. Two strands, separated by Bali sterling beads, show
off a beautiful Karen Hill tribe flower pendant. Sometimes the
fairies come out and dance in and out of the blues, hiding in
between the pretty layers of the silver flower. Fairies are
known to love silver because it reminds them of their own tiny
lights which can sparkle from head to toe. Sky Fairy comes with
a tiny hidden fairy and finished at 18" with a Karen Hill tribe
S clasp. |

Sugar Plum Fairy

|
Sugarplum Fairy is made from Brazilian
fluorite. The fairies brought it back to me from one of their
worldly travels. The fluorite has striations of both light and
dark purple and is very transparent. I have silver wire worked
the pendant and mixed in some amethyst. Bali bead caps help
brighten the amethyst beads. Sugarplum fairy is 20” long and
closes with a sterling toggle. |

Tamlin Annwn

|
Tamlin Annwn is a welsh water fairy who lives
on the Boonwyn Island
Of Wales. There is a locked door on the island , but if you
knock slowly four times she will unlock the heavy wooden door
and let you in. Old stories say that welsh water fairies will
keep you and never let you go. But, it isn’t so, as I have been
there many times and Tamlin always gives me hot tea and biscuits
and then unlocks the door so I can leave. When I was there last
she gave me an idea for this necklace and it is very similar to
her own. If you go to visit Tamlin, be sure you wear the
necklace.
Pink quartz, turquoise rounds, freshwater Pacific pearls and
Karen hill tribe silver make this necklace special. It is 22”
long and finished with a Karen hill tribe hammered toggle. |

hill tribe beads add to the softness. The fairy flower pendant
is hand made by a Karen hill tribe metal artist
