The Coral Collection
The most beautiful coral is found in the Mediterranean Sea. Coral is
formed when the skeletal remains of tiny marine creatures build upon one
another. The skeletal structures are quite beautiful by themselves, but
become even more exotic and colorful when they are cut and used for
adornment.
I only use coral from the Mediterranean Sea, but my designs are inspired
by the many beaches, lakes and their surrounding towns that I have
visited.

San Blas

|
San Blas is a small village on Mexico’s west
coast. It is very well known for its great fishing! A lot of the
world’s mahi mahi comes from the waters off San Blas. The town
is very lush and tropical and one can travel for miles into the
surrounding jungles. This necklace, with its forest colored
turquoise and bright red coral coin, is lush with color, just
like the San Blas jungles. Bali beads add to the brightness.
The necklace is 18’ long and closes with a bali toggle. |

Conchas Chinas

|
This is the south beach of Puerta Vallarta,
Mexico. You will find very little of anything that is American
here. Old cobbled streets, hidden coves and quiet solitude are
the venue. This necklace is like Conchas Chinas, calm, tranquil,
peaceful. I have blended beautiful Chinese lamp beads with
Chinese turquoise and orange coral to help you feel like you are
on the Conchas chinas beach, walking in the brown sand! This
necklace is 24” long and is finished with bali cones and a
sterling lobster claw |

Kokomo Joe

|
La Connor, Washington, is a lazy little water
town in northern Washington state. It is a great place for
shopping and people watching and has numerous fun festivals and
events throughout the year. I found this beautiful glass shell
at a store called Kokomo joe. If you go there look for the old
white dresser that has many, many drawers. Each drawer is filled
with different treasures, some so overlooked that the owner
didn’t even know she had this glass shell! I have wire worked
the shell with sterling silver and added red branch coral and
venetian blue and black beads. The necklace closes with a bali
toggle and is 24” long. |

The Gulf Coast of western Florida is sun and

this necklace. It is all about color and fun! Orange coral
branch and beautiful turquoise mingle with ornate bali beads and
call out to the sun!
Estero Island is 18” long, but can extend to 19 ½” and is closed
with a sterling lobster claw |
