Cascade Men's Collection
On clear days I look out to the Cascade Mountains. They are a beautiful,
rugged, snow capped range that topographically splits the state of
Washington in two, creating 2 very different regions. I have spent a lot
of time in the Cascades, they are great for hiking, skiing, camping and
rock climbing. In the fall, they are covered in red vine maples and
golden tamaracks and rushing waterfalls. The Cascades have inspired me
to create a men's collection of jewelry. I have named the pieces for
some of my favorite places in Washington State.
Sterling silver can develop a nice rugged look, especially Balinese
silver, and I have used a lot of Bali and Karen Hill tribe silver in
these pieces. Gemstones from Brazil, Australia and the Himalayan
Mountains are only a few examples of stones I have used. I hope you like
these pieces and if you have a special guy you'd like a unique design
for, please call or email me. I think 3 and 2 strand silver and
gemstones are very nice for men. In fact, any of these necklaces can be
combined onto one toggle for a dramatic look. Klipsan and San Juan would
especially look great together. Adding a third light liquid silver
strand would look very sexy!

San Juan

|
There are over 700 islands located between the
Strait of Georgia and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This area,
known as the San Juan Islands, is off the western coast of
Washington State and east of Victoria, British Colombia. This
necklace is named for San Juan Island, one of 4 populated
islands with ferry service. San Juan is 18 inches of liquid
silver and bali silver saucers. A Karen Hill tribe stamped
talisman will bring good luck and ward off evil. |

Kalaloch

|
This Unakite necklace reminds me of the huge
cedar trees that are found in the Olympic Rain Forest. Greens
and browns are the deep, rich colors of the forest and if you
are looking for a romantic getaway, the old Kalaloch Lodge is
perfect. Kalaloch is 21" long and the Unakite cubes are from
Brazil and are separated by Australian tigers eye. A Bali toggle
completes this piece. |

Klipsan

|
Klipsan is like the sandy beach at Klipsan
Beach on the 37 mile long, Long Beach Peninsula of Washington.
Kite flying and clamming are great activities here. Klipsan is
20 1/2 inches of Chinese barrel and rolled turquoise. It's vivid
green and brown colors radiate sun and sand and ocean. Klipsan
closes with a bali toggle. |

360

|
The 360 is a ski run at the Snoqualmie Summit.
It's got a few nice moguls and a good drop off the chair. Down
at the bottom, lounge around the outdoor fire pits and head up
the chair again. 360 is nice chunk, raw untreated turquoise from
Arizona. 17 1/2 inches keeps it nice and short below the neck.
360 closes with a Bali toggle. |

Rainy Lake

|
Rainy Lake is on the Cascade Mountain Loop
Highway. Near Washington Pass, you will need to hike a few miles
into the lake. During a good winter freeze, you can ice skate on
the lake, beneath several inches of snow or ice climb the steep
mountains that surround the lake. This necklace is made from
liquid silver and bali sliders. The Rainy Lake amulet is from
Tibet and made from Tibeten silver, Lapis Lazuli and coral. It
is 18 inches long and closes with a silver S hook. |

Winthrop

|
Winthrop is east of the Cascades at the end of
the Cascades Loop Highway. This small western style town is
meadows and valleys and rolling hills and fishing and biking and
horse riding. Winthrop is made with Karen Hill tribe silver,
Australian Tigers Eye, coconut shell and a Himalayan Dzi (Zee)
bead. Dzi beads are carved from Agates found near Tibet or
Nepal. Buddhist monks believe they bring good luck. Winthrop is
18 inches long and closes with a silver S hook. |

Lhasa

New!
|
This unique necklace needs a very unique name,
and one that is not rugged Cascade Mountains, but even more
rugged Tibetan. So, I call it Lhasa. Tibetan amulets are
generally made by Tibetan monks. I have no proof that this was
created by one of the thousands of monks in China, but it is
very likely that it was. The amulet opens in the back and holds
a tiny rolled Buddhist prayer scroll and three organic medicine
balls. I have mixed it with turquoise from China and red coral
from the Mediterranean Sea. Lhasa is 19" long and closes with a
Bali clasp. |
